Meet Trina
Positive Psychology based Life Coach
Hi! I’m Trina Bockus. I’m a life coach, a family support professional and a mom. I teach and I coach. I help women who are stuck, overwhelmed and ready to take back their power by taking care of themselves.

I work as a Positive Psychology based Life Coach with folks who are looking to add more intention, purpose, resilience, self-acceptance and happiness to their lives through changes big and small. I also work for NAMI MetroSuburban and Riveredge Hospital. Mental health is a spectrum and I believe we are our best when paying attention to our mental wellness. I work with both families and clients on optimizing their own mental health through boundaries and self-care.

In addition to life coaching I love to speak on topics in Positive Psychology (including happiness, gratitude, purpose, mindfulness and resilience), Body Image, Eating Disorders and Family Support during mental illness. I have many interests and passions that I love to share with others.
I believe in the power of gratitude and self-compassion, along with a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor. I practice piano for the fun of it and love taking walks with my dog in the woods.

I am a graduate of Martha Beck Life Coach Training and have a Certificate in Positive Psychology (also called the psychology of happiness) and Positive Psychology Coaching from Wholebeing Institute. I have an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Masters of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. My path in life has evolved (sound familiar?). I’ve had a big business career (in telecommunications) a small business career (in roller skating fitness), two kids, two dogs and several life zig zags along the way. Change and growth are ways of being - and I am happier than I thought could be even when life is challenging or big change is imminent.
